TMC have been providing servicing and MOT for cars since we were based in our Tottington premises. We’ve always had a high quality, respected garage, and this was only bolstered when we moved to our current Radcliffe premises. Now, our servicing department operates from a large, state-of-the-art workshop, which can cater to both cars and motorhomes at a high level.
Castrol have over 125 years of experience with engine lubrication, meaning their oils are some of the best available. They created the Castrol Service network to help select local workshops reach even more customers. TMC became a part of the Castrol network in 2022, and have since then made even more improvements to the standard of servicing we offer.
The Castrol Guarantee keeps you covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles after your service. This means that if you suffer a breakdown or failure during this period, and it was due to an oil fault from the service, you’ll be compensated at no extra cost.
The Guarantee is a measure of trust between Castrol, TMC and our customers. With the high standards of service we set, and the quality of products we use, we believe these faults should never happen. And as such, we want to give our customers peace of mind when we take care of their cars and motorhomes.

Use of Official Castrol Oils – As part of our partnership, TMC only use Castrol’s official oil products in our services. This includes the Castrol EDGE, Castrol MAGNATEC and Castrol GTX oils, each of which have been expertly crafted to support engine performance and longevity.

We are an experienced service centre, with expert technicians and a fully equipped workshop. Regular car servicing ensures that there are no faults with your car, and that it’s running to the best of its ability. This means that it’s more likely to retain its value, and any potential issues will be spotted before they become out of hand.
The MOT is a legal requirement, testing that your car meets the required standards for brakes, lights, tires and more. You cannot legally drive without an MOT certificate, so be sure to check when your next test is due. You can do so by clicking here
Cars in the UK must have their MOT check once a year, to ensure they are working properly. For servicing, we recommend booking at different times based on what type of service you need:
Interim service – every 6 months or 6,000 miles driven
Full service – every 12 months or 12,000 miles driven
Major service – every 24 months or 24,000 miles driven

Yes. Tottington Motor Company is proud to be part of the Castrol Service network, and exclusively uses new, high-quality Castrol oils when performing services.
We became Castrol certified back in 2022, thanks to our high standard of workshop and quality of servicing. Thanks to this, we carry forward Castrol’s over 125 years of expertise in engine lubrication.
The NCC approved workshop scheme is a joint enterprise between the National Caravan Council (NCC), the Caravan and Motorhome Club, and the Camping and Caravanning Club.
